Borinda "Willow"

Max/Avg Height (ft.): 15(?), 12-14(?)

Diameter: 0.75 inch

Hardiness: 15°F

USDA Zones: 8b-9, Not recommended for climates with a lot of intense heat or high summer humidity (including most of the southern USA)

This Borinda has a very weepy habit, it appears more wide than it is tall. The new culms with sparse leaves are mostly upright, but the following year, as they produce more foliage, arch outward, nearly touching the ground. The foliage is moderate size, and matte green, much like B. macclureana; The two species seem to be closely related.  It is a rare bamboo, collected be Keith Rushford from the mountainous region of Yunnan, China.
