Our one gallon crop of S. ramosa. |
Sasaella ramosa
Groundcover bamboo Height: 1.5 to 3 feet Hardiness: 0° F
USDA zone 7
through 9
This
hardy groundcover is fairly sun tolerant and makes a nice hedge or mound
of dark green foliage. It is a vigorous grower and seems to
thrive just about anywhere. In climates colder than 10F it will
show some leaf die-back in the winter, but it comes back strong every
spring. It will look the most uniform when trimmed back to ground level
each March, just before shooting season.
