This new bamboo, not offered for sale before, is the largest and
strongest of the genus, along with Pseudosasa amabilis. It is reported to be
considerably hardier than other Pseudosasa. With long internodes and culm walls that are
thick and strong, P. longiligula is very suitable for furniture, for which
purpose it is
often used in China.
