office receptionist / retail sales person, interested in working with and learning about bamboo.

Primary duties include:
1. office work including, telephone reception, email for sales, organization, computer skills, writing invoices, keeping records, inventory, etc.
2. customer service: providing guided tours and selling bamboo plants to the public.
3. maintaining live bamboo plants, irrigation, propagation, collecting special orders, etc.

Seasonal positions available for full time and part time employment, 20 to 40 hours per week, with possible opportunity for work year round. (full time preferred) Our busy season is Feb. 15th through November 15th. We can be flexible with hours regarding student class schedule, or other factors,  as long as a there is consistency and preferably one week advance notice if a schedule change is desired.

Qualities we desire in potential employees:

1. High standards organization and thoroughness
2. Good communication skills
3. Genuinely interested in plants
4. Self motivated, though willing to ask questions if unclear.
5. Fluency in Spanish is an asset, but not required.

Wages for position:

$9.00 per hour during training, raised to $10.00 / hour with the possibility of pay raises later.
